Rock County Announces Finalists for County Administrator’s Position
Kevin Leavy, Chair of the Rock County Board of Supervisors, invites the Community to a Community Event to meet and talk with the finalists for the position of County Administrator in Rock County.
Previous County Administrator Josh Smith announced his resignation effective November 15, 2024, after nearly ten years in the position.
The finalists are:
–Andrew Baker, Director of Planning and Land Conservation at Rock County. Andrew has worked for Rock County since April 2004. Prior to his promotion, Andrew was the Senior Planner.
–Richard Hough, Director of Public Works at Walworth County. Prior to Walworth County, Richard served from February 1989-February 2019 in the U.S Army. Retiring in February 2019 as a U.S. Army Colonel.
–John Light, Interim Township Administrator. Prior to this Interim position, John has held the position of Director of Human Resources in various Counties, Cities, Towns, and a School District. He has also been a County Administrator.
The Community Event will be on January 22, at the Dr. Daniel Hale Williams Resource Center, 1717 Center Ave, Janesville, starting at 6:00pm.
